This half day course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around fall protection. Applicable legislation will be reviewed with emphasis on real world applications. Participants will be introduced to equipment, inspections, fitting and maintenance. Rescue consideration will be discussed. This course is valid for 3 years, using recognised instructors and is validated by WorkSafe NB.

Confined Space Entry
This half day course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around confined spaces. This course also helps to identify a confined space or a hazardous space. This one day courses is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around confined spaces and how to operate the rescue equipment. Traffic Control Person
This half day course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around traffic control. This course is also known as a “Flaggers” course. Participants are made aware of the job requirements, the dangers involved and the equipment. Emphasis is placed on keeping people safe. This course is valid for 3 years, using recognised instructors and validated by WorkSafe NB.

Traffic Control Agent
This one day course is designed for the person who will be responsible for the work area traffic control plans as identified under the New Brunswick Dept. of Transportation & Infrastructure Work Area Traffic Control Manual. This course follows the guidelines laid out by the Dept. of Transportation & Infrastructure. This course is valid for 3 years.

Ground Disturbance (Trenching & Excavation)
This half day course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around trenching and excavation work. They learn applicable legislation, how important locates are and the dangers of being buried in a trench collapse. Some environmental issues will be discussed. This course is taught by recognised instructors and validated by WorkSafe NB.

Lock Out - Tag Out
This half day course reviews the legislation covering lock out – tag out. Procedures for lock out are reviewed. Participants in this course will learn about the different forms of lock out and how they can be achieved, using recognised instructors and validated by WorkSafe NB.

Workplace Standard First Aid with CPR & AED
This two day course follows the guidelines set out by St. John Ambulance. This course is valid for 3 years. (A yearly half day refresher is required to maintain qualification.

Workplace Hazardous Material Information System 2015
This half day course is designed to educate workers about the potentially dangerous products that are present in their workplaces. Participants are shown how to follow the warnings on the labels and Material Safety Data Sheets. This course helps everyone involved understand their role and responsibility. This course does not have an expiry date. However employers are responsible to review this material annually with their employees.

Safety Orientation
This half day course is designed to make everyone aware of their responsibilities for safety. It introduces people to workers rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Definitions of all workplace parties are discussed and reviewed to make people aware of potential effects on their workplaces. Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee roles are discussed. At the end of this course participants will have a better understanding of how today’s safety environment is impacting on their workplace.

Forklift Safety
This 3 hour course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around working with forklifts. Inspection and safety features will be covered. Participants will gain a better understanding of the safety features and use of a forklift.

This ½ day course is designed to show participants what due diligence really is. Participants learn how important it is for companies and individuals to try to prove due diligence. This course also identifies the impact the legal system has in the workplace.

Elevated Work Platform
This 3 hour course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around working with zoom boom / scissor lifts. Applicable legislation will be reviewed. Safety features of the equipment, safe limits of approach will be covered and applicable personal protective equipment will be reviewed.

Chainsaw Safety
This 3 hour course is designed to make participants aware of the safety issues around working with chainsaws. Requirements for personal protective equipment will be reviewed. Proper falling techniques, saw maintenance and safety features will be reviewed. Practical exercises will be part of this course.

Accident Incident Investigation
This half day course is designed for the investigation team. This course helps outline the process behind investigation of near miss incidents and accidents. The process of the investigation is covered with participants. Emphasis is placed on the process to identify the cause, not the blame. When we find the cause of the accident we can come up with a plan to eliminate the incident or accident happening again in the future.

This half day course is designed for people responsible for identifying hazards and controls on a worksite. This course helps outline the process behind identification of hazards and what controls hierarchy can be used to mitigate the hazards.
